Under Regulation 106 of TNEB Service
Regulation the individuals noted in the Annexure appended to this memo, are
temporarily promoted as Special Grade Foreman in the time scale of
Rs.10100-34800+5100 (GP) plus usual allowances admissible as per rules and
allotted to the Divisions as noted under column No.6.
2. They are directed to report for
duty to the Officer concerned after getting reposting
orders from the Executive Engineers
concerned and getting proper relief from the
present station.
3. They are informed that the above
appointment does not confer on them any preferential claim for seniority
probation etc., and they will be
reverted back to their original post at any time without
prior intimation and assigning any reason therefore.
4. They are further informed that
they should join in the post stipulated above within Fifteen (15) days from the date of
receipt of this order or relinquished as
per B.P. M.S.No73 dt:14.09.87, if not it
will be construed that they are not willing for the
above appointment and the orders will be cancelled without any further intimation.
5. They will not thereafter be
entitled to claim their promotion as Special Grade Foreman
as matter of right. However when they
subsequently express their willingness for promotion as per
B.P.Ms.No.73 (Adm.Br) dt:14.09.87 read with (Per) B.P. No.2 (SB) dt:13.01.89 their
cases will be considered along with other eligible persons for promotion on grounds
of seniority-cum-merit and given promotion if found eligible.

They will take Seniority in the post of Special Grade Foreman only from
the date on which they are
originally promoted and subsequently cancelled failure to join duty.

7. The option from for fixation
of pay in the post of Special Grade Forman is enclosed herewith. The option should be exercised within one month from the date
of joining as Special Grade Foreman.

modification of posting orders proposals should be submitted to this office for
any grounds.

Grade foreman to 5 Nos O&M Sub Divisions in Ponneri Division and 1 no for
Construction Sub Division in Ponneri Division has been sanctioned and
also1 no Special Grade Foreman
for Construction Sub Division has been sanctioned in Tondiarpet Division.The Special Grade Foreman post
posted to each Sub Division can be
utilized in any one of the Section
under the Sub Division by abolishing the Foreman I Grade post in that O&M Sections and Line Inspector post
in Construction Section.

provisionally selected for promotion to the post of Special Grade Foreman.
The names of Foreman I Grade
in the Annexure –II appended to the memo are informed that they are not
selected for promotion to the post of Special Grade Foreman.
The Foreman I Grade in the
Annexure II may prefer appeal against this to the Chief Engineer/Distribution/North
within one month from the date of receipt of the memo, if they desire.
Receipt of this memo should be
acknowledged.
