am to state that the Accounts Supervisors (17 Nos.) as shown in the annexure
are selected for appointment to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer in the
TANGEDCO Proceedings cited are allotted to your region against the existing
vacancies.
2. I am to inform that with reference to Note
(1) in Annexure-II referred to in Regulation 93 of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board
Service Regulation, orders of appointment and posting as Assistant Accounts
Officer may be issued by you to the promotees under intimation to this office.
3. It is certified that the above Accounts
Supervisor possesses the requisite
qualification to hold the post
of Assistant Accounts Officer and hence their pay shall be fixed under
Regulation 33(b) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations.
4. The Chief
Engineer/Superintending Engineer's/Chief Financial Controller concerned are
directed to ensure whether, any disciplinary proceeding is pending/ charges
framed/ punishment awarded if any, against official mentioned in the Annexure
enclosed, before serving the promotion order.

I am also request you to issue appointment and posting orders
individually and to incorporate the following Clause in the appointment and
posting orders of the above promotees.

“If they do not join duty with the time indicated, their promotion
orders will be cancelled and the next junior will be promoted”.

(ii)
The above orders of appointment are issued without prejudice to the
outcome of W.P.Nos.35486 of 2002, 17936 of 2003, W.P.(MD) No.5161 of 2013,
W.P.(MD) No.13203 of 2014 and W.P.No.27255 of 2014 are pending before the
Hon'ble High Court of Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court
respectively.
