Selection of a Public Sector Insurance Company for
implementation - Interim arrangements for providing
health care assistance till implementation of New Health
Insurance Scheme, 2012 – Recovery - Regarding.

Based on the orders of the Government, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board implemented the New Health Insurance Scheme to the employees of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and their family members with provision to avail assistance upto Rupees two lakhs with effect from 11-6-2008 and is in operation for the block period of four years upto 10-6-2012.
2) In the Government Order second cited, orders have been issued for providing health care assistance to the Government employees and their eligible family members for the period from 11-6-2012 to 30-6-2012 by making interim arrangements till the implementation of New Health Insurance Scheme, 2012 and also ordered to other institutions already covered under the New Health Insurance Scheme 2008-2012 extend this health care assistance to their employees during the interim period from 11-6-2012 to 30.6.2012 from their own funds .

3) Based on the orders of the Government, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. has examined and decided to accept the same. Accordingly the recovery of subscription from June 2012 (interim arrangement) for New Health Insurance Scheme is Rs.25/- per month may be made until further orders.
