1. Applications are invited from the candidates for admission to the Departmental Examinations May 2014 through "FULLY ONLINE" mode. Filled-up Online Application Forms will be electronically transmitted to the TNPSC Office and hence there is no need to send the application by post. However, those who are applying for the test codes 001, 085,115,131,148,164 209,210,211,212,213,214 and 215 MUST send the Online Application Form and the Identification Slip to TNPSC Office by post with relevant details of previous examinations, Work etc.
   
2. Fully Online registration for Departmental Examinations May 2014 is available for candidates applying from all the 33 Centres, from 01/03/2014 to 31/03/2014.
   
3. CANDIDATES WILL NOTE THAT REGISTRATION FEE OF Rs. 30/- WILL HAVE TO BE INCLUDED IN THE POSTAL RECEIPT APART FROM THE FEE FOR THE TESTS APPLIED FOR.
   
4. Total Fees should be paid through postal receipt only except the candidates opting NEW DELHI as Centre.
   
5. Examination / Registration Fees: Kindly make sure that you have the Postal Receipt for the requisite number of tests that you will be applying for, before registering online. (Calculate the Total Fee using Fee Calculator)

Central employees awaiting next govt nod on DA merger

New Delhi: Central government employees are awaiting next government nod on merger of 50 percent dearness allowance to basic Pay in the view of model code of conduct.

Family finances of government employees are being squeezed from all sides as inflation is rising at its fastest level in last four years. How can government employees cope with raising inflation besides merger of 50 percent dearness allowance (DA) to basic pay.

High prices of day-to-day goods make it difficult for government employees to afford even the basic commodities in their lives.

The Sixth Pay Commission did not talk about merger. As a result, with the continuous increase of dearness allowance, this has now reached up to 100 per cent of basic pay but the government did not merged 50 percent dearness allowance to basic pay on the pretext of sixth pay panel recommendation.

Earlier, the DA was merged with basic pay, only after it touched 50 per cent of the basic pay on the recommendation of fifth central pay panel.

The government has set up the Seventh Central Pay Commission to recommend for revising salaries of central government employees.

The 4-members commission, headed by Ashok Kumar Mathur, former Supreme Court Judge, will formulate pay, allowances and other facilities as well as benefits structure for 50 lakh central government employees.

இத்திட்டத்தின் நோக்கம், மின் இழப்பை குறைத்து, நுகர்வோருக்கு, தரமான மின்சாரத்தை சீரான முறையில் வினியோகிப்பதாகும். இத்திட்டம், இரு பிரிவுகளை உள்ளடக்கியது. முதலாவதாக, தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப கருவிகள் மூலம், மின் இழப்பை கண்டறிதல்; இரண்டாவதாக, புதிய டிரான்ஸ்பார்மர், மின் வழித்தடம், துணைமின் நிலையம் அமைத்து, மின் வினியோக கட்டமைப்பை வலுப்படுத்துவது.

TNEB’s strategic plan to install tamper-proof remote energy meters ( Posted on : 05/Dec/2013 )

TNEB has decided to install smart and tamper-proof remote energy meters to reduce pilferage and the revenue losses incurred due to this. The TNEB authorities have estimated that this measure would avoid the loss of over Rs. 1000 Crores. Currently, TNEB is operating on debts of over Rs. 53,000 Crores and power shortage. As a possible countermeasure, efforts have been undertaken to reduce the pilferage of electric power and the losses incurred in revenue. LPRF (Low Power radio Frequency) based smart energy meters operating on the radio frequency waves are to be installed.
