PROCEEDINGS:-
Under regulation 106 (a)1 of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations, read with the Tamil Nadu Electricity (Re-organisation and Reforms) Transfer Scheme, 2010, Thiru C.Veeramani, Superintending Engineer/Mechanical, Office of the Chief Financial Controller/Regulatory Cell/Chennai, is deemed to have been temporarily promoted and appointed as Chief Engineer/Mechanical in Class-I of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited with effect from 06.07.2015 i.e. the date of joining of his junior Thiru P.Karuppiah, as Chief Engineer/ Mechanical.
2. Thiru C.Veeramani, Superintending Engineer/Mechanical, Office of the Chief Financial Controller/Regulatory Cell/Chennai, on temporary promotion, is posted as Chief Engineer/Mechanical/Regulatory Cell, Office of the Chief Financial Controller/ Regulatory Cell/Chennai, in the up-graded post vide reference third read above.
3. He is eligible for fixation of pay in the post of Chief Engineer/Mechanical, as per note-2 under regulation 37 of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Regulations, read with the Tamil Nadu Electricity (Re-organisation and Reforms) Transfer Scheme 2010.
4. The Chief Financial Controller/Regulatory Cell/Chennai, is directed to relieve the official under orders of deemed promotion and posting immediately and instruct him to join in the new post. A report should be sent to the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited regarding the date of relief and date of joining of the official. This will be apart from the Certificate of Transfer of Charge.

5. The Chief Financial Controller/Regulatory Cell/Chennai, is also directed to ensure that whether, any disciplinary proceeding is pending/charges framed/ punishment awarded, if any, against the official mentioned in para-1 above, before serving the promotion order. If so, necessary clarification may be obtained from the Secretary before serving the said promotion order to the official concerned.
6. The officer mentioned in para-1 above, is instructed to furnish the Performance Assessment Report of himself together with the Performance Assessment Report of all Class-I Officers working under his control before his relief from the old station on Promotion without fail and he is also instructed to send certificate to Secretary/Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, to that effect.
7. An option format is enclosed herewith. The official mentioned in para-1 above is requested to return the option format duly filled in within one month from the date of promotion and assumption of charge. If the option format is not received within the said period of one month, his pay in the higher post will be fixed
as specified in para-3 of Board's Memo.No.75406/P1/90-1, dated 19.3.1991.
