PROCEEDINGS:-
          In the Board’s Proceedings first cited, orders have been issued for payment of Remote Hydro / Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive to the employees working in Remote Hydel Stations.    While allowing the above allowance, the Hydro areas have been divided into four categories for the purpose of sanction of Remote Hydro Allowance based on their relative remoteness, climatic condition and other available facilities such as Medical, Educational and Communication.  The Remote Hydro Allowance was sanctioned at the following rate against each category:-

The Cavern Allowance was sanctioned to the employees working in Kadamparai Power House at the rate of 10% of Basic Pay since it is located in a Cavern.

          2)   Revision of wages was ordered with effect from 1-12-2007 and the Revision of Allowances/Special Pay was given effect to from 1-9-2009 to the employees / Officers as in the reference second and  third  cited.  But,  the  Remote Hydro / Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive was not revised.    It has been represented to revise the Remote Hydro / Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive to the employees working in the Hydro Generation areas.   
         3)   After careful consideration,   the TANGEDCO hereby revise the Remote Hydro / Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive in the Revised Pay at the following rates against each category as in the Annexure with effect from 1-9-2009:-

          4)  The Cavern Allowance shall also be sanctioned at the rate of 10% of Basic Pay + Grade Pay in the Revised Pay to the employees working in Kadamparai Power House and Pykara Ultimate Stage Hydro Electric Project (PUSHEP).  The other conditions for payment of revised Remote Hydro / Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive as ordered in the Board’s Proceedings first cited remains unaltered. 
          5) The Arrears of Remote Hydro / Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive for the period from 1-9-2009 to 30-4-2012                  (32 months) may be paid in two equal monthly instalments as shown below:-
i)  1st instalment in June 2012
ii) 2nd instalment in July 2012.
          6)  The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above shall be debited to “TANGEDCO Funds – Revenue Expenses – 75.408 – Salaries – Other Allowances – Remote Hydro/Cavern Allowance-cum-Performance Incentive.
          7)  The receipt of the Board’s Proceedings shall be acknowledged.
