Under regulation 92 of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations read with the Tamil Nadu Electricity (Re-organisation and Reforms) Transfer Scheme 2010, the following 2 (Two only) Superintending Engineers/ Mechanical are regularly promoted and appointed as Chief Engineers/Mechanical in Division-I, Class-I of Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited Service with effect from the date of assumption of charge:-

3. The Chief Engineers concerned are requested to relieve the officials under orders of promotion and postings immediately by making local arrangements without waiting for substitutes and instruct them to join at the new post before expiry of joining time. A report should be sent to the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited regarding the date of relief and date of joining of the officials. This will be apart from the Certificate of Transfer of Charge.
4. The Officer concerned is instructed to furnish the Performance Assessment Report of himself together with the Performance Assessment Report of all Class-I Officers working under his control before his relief from the old station on Promotion without fail and the above individual is also instructed to send certificate to the Secretary/Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, to that effect.
5. An option format is enclosed herewith. The officials mentioned in para-1 above are requested to return the option format duly filled in within one month from the date of promotion and assumption of charge. If the option format is not received within the said period of one month, their pay in the higher post will be fixed as specified in para-3 of Board's Memo. No.75406/P1/90-1, dated 19.3.1991.

Sanction is accorded for creation of a post of Additional Chief Engineer/ Mechanical, in the scale of pay of Rs.38200 67000 + Grade Pay 9,500 in Division-I, Class-I of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations read with the Tamil Nadu Electricity (Re-organisation and Reforms) Transfer Scheme 2010, in lieu of one post of Superintending Engineer/Mechanical.
2. Under regulation 92 of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations read with the Tamil Nadu Electricity (Re-organisation and Reforms) Transfer Scheme 2010, Thiru T.Sankarapandian, Superintending Engineer/ Mechanical/R&M, Office of the Chief Engineer/Mechanical/Thermal Stations, Chennai,
is appointed as Additional Chief Engineer/Mechanical against the post sanctioned in para-1 above in Division-I, Class-I of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations read with the Tamil Nadu Electricity (Re-organisation and Reforms) Transfer Scheme 2010, with effect from 02.07.2015 i.e., the date of issue of promotion order to his junior Thiru P.Karuppiah, Superintending Engineer/Mechanical as Chief Engineer/Mechanical vide reference second read above, and the post will be downgraded as Superintending Engineer/Mechanical from the date following the date of his retirement.
